Senator Sitara Ayaz, Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC), attended the 52nd anniversary celebrations of the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI) held today in Islamabad.

The commemorative event marked the ISSI’s significant contributions to policy research, strategic dialogue, and foreign affairs discourse in Pakistan and beyond. The ceremony brought together senior diplomats, parliamentarians, policy experts, academics, and representatives of the international community.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar addressed the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Sitara Ayaz commended ISSI for its continued work and its success and emphasized the importance of collaboration between research institutions and international parliamentary bodies to address emerging global challenges.

 She stated that IPC looks forward to strengthening engagement with leading think tanks like ISSI to build synergies that advance peace, diplomacy, and sustainable development.

The event concluded with reflections on ISSI’s legacy, achievements, and vision for the future as it continues to serve as a leading policy think tank in Pakistan.
