International Parliamentarians Congress

IPC Delegation to Attend Asia-Pacific Road Safety Conference and APRSO Annual Meeting in Manila

The International Parliamentarian Congress (IPC) will be participating in the Asia-Pacific Regional Road Safety Conference and the Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO), scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippines, from 9 to 11 September 2025.

The IPC delegation is being led by Senator Sitara Ayaz, Secretary General IPC.

“This event provides an important platform for meaningful dialogue and collaboration on one of the most pressing public safety issues affecting our region,” stated Senator Sitara Ayaz. “As parliamentarians, it is our responsibility to ensure that road safety remains a priority in national and regional agendas.”

The IPC has remained committed to advancing this agenda globally as IPC successfully organised the first-ever Road Safety Conference for Parliamentarians in Pakistan, bringing together lawmakers from across the country to address national road safety priorities, legislative challenges, and international commitments.

While in Manila, the IPC delegation will also be holding bilateral meetings with senior officials from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), members of IPC from the House of Representatives of the Philippines, and the Head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Philippines. These engagements will focus on strengthening parliamentary cooperation, development partnerships, and addressing humanitarian dimensions linked to road safety.

We continues to play an active role in promoting safer roads through legislative collaboration, policy advocacy, and global dialogue in line with the UN Decade of Action for Road Safety.
