International Parliamentarians Congress

The International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC), in collaboration with Jazz, successfully organized a Friendly Padel Match for the Diplomatic Community in Islamabad, bringing together ambassadors and diplomatic officials in a spirit of sportsmanship and goodwill.
The event commenced with opening remarks by Mr. Zaheer Mehdi, the Group Head Corporate and Regulatory Affairs on behalf of Jazz, who highlighted the importance of fostering positive engagement and strengthening connections within the diplomatic community through inclusive initiatives such as sports diplomacy.
The event was graciously joined by esteemed Ambassadors and diplomatic officials from various missions, including Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Rwanda, France, Vietnam, Yemen, Myanmar and etc, based in Islamabad. Friendly matches were played among participating embassies, reflecting teamwork, enthusiasm, and camaraderie throughout the tournament.
The team from the Embassy of France in Islamabad emerged as the Winner of the tournament. The Runner-Up position was secured by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad, while the Second Runner-Up title was achieved by the Embassy of Rwanda in Islamabad. Teams from the Embassy of Vietnam in Islamabad and other participating missions also demonstrated commendable performance and competitive spirit.
At the conclusion of the event, the closing remarks were shared by the Secretary General of the International Parliamentarians Congress (IPC), Senator Sitara Ayaz, followed by the presentation of shields and souvenirs to the winning and runner-up teams in recognition of their outstanding performance. Commemorative shields were also presented to the participating Ambassadors as a token of appreciation for their valued presence and support.
The initiative served as a meaningful platform to promote friendship, unity, and collaboration among members of the diplomatic corps. IPC remains committed to organizing such engagements that strengthen diplomatic ties through constructive and people-centered interaction.
